Federale
equal parts Rock and Roll, Electronic, Classical and Old School Western.
Minor Mirage
spaghetti western, exotica, and a sprinkle of borderline doom rock.
Sam Bonds is excited to welcome Federale from Portland OR!
Spearheaded by longtime Brian Jonestown Massacre bassist Collin Hegna, the band was conceived as an outlet to channel inspiration from ‘60s & ‘70s European soundtracks, particularly those from Italy made famous by the Spaghetti Western & Giallo genres. As well as the narrative driven song stylings of Lee Hazlewood and Nick Cave.
Local spaghetti-surf outfit Minor Mirage opens the show.

Son Melao plays salsa, cambia, and latin dance music from Colombia, Venezuela, and Cuba. Established about 2001, Eugene, Oregon has been dancing to Son Melao for over 20 years. Listos!
A groove veteran of reinvention and a traditional transformation technician, Marshall Falcon is equal parts stylist and entertainer extraordinaire. The debut album “Go West Young Man” is a revival of Tex-Mex fusion, hillbilly rock explosions, and country soul for a wholly original flavor.

Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters
Rollickin' female Americana
Bonnie and the Boys
Americana
Ashleigh Flynn grew up in Kentucky and cut her teeth on local bluegrass music and Motown. A prolific songwriter and performer blessed with unbridled charisma. She arrived on the Americana scene in 2008 with the release of her third LP, American Dream, a poetic lament to the elusiveness of that national ethos. A Million Stars followed in 2013 – a rollicking journey celebrating the women pioneers of the American West.
Ashleigh Flynn & The Riveters’ inaugural LP, produced by her longtime musical collaborator Chris Funk of the Decemberists, hit the streets in 2018. The 10 original tracks feature Flynn’s soulful vocals and compelling brand of songwriting, amped-up and virtuously enveloped by the electric guitar work of Nancy Luca. Luca honed her style and skill playing with Tom Petty and Bo Diddley.
In 2023, AF&TR embarked on the production of Studio Album Number 2 with a queer female producer and engineer at the helm. The band is making regional waves in a genre underrepresented by female and queer bands, engineers and producers.
Eugene's Bonnie and the Boys bring their soulful version of roots/Americana to the stage. The band features members from Sugar Pine and Bonnie's strong original songs, which feel at once fresh and familiar.

FINAL BLUEGRASS JAM
Sam Bond's Bluegrass Jam
hosted by Sean Shanahan
THE FINAL BLUEGRASS JAM
Join us as we bid adieu, farewell and goodbye to the oldest recurring event at Sam Bonds, the Bluegrass Jam. It's been an amazing run, but the time has come to stir up new trouble here, so we will give the jam one last blowout, and then head out for new pastures on Tuesdays in 2024. Please come out and help us celebrate 26 years of good times!
